Transient Students

Innovation Academy students are expected to complete their courses on campus during the Spring and Summer as full time students.  During the Fall semester as an IA student you can pursue taking a transient course or two at another institution.  Please note that you will need to complete all of the necessary paperwork with your college/ major advisor to have it approved before you take the course.  If you do not obtain pre-approval, the credit(s) may not transfer toward your UF degree, and/or may not be the equivalent of the UF course we offer.

A transient student (PDF) form is used when you wish to attend another institution for a semester. It lets the other college or university know that you are a degree-seeking student at UF. It also helps you determine, with an adviser, what courses can be taken that will work with your current degree track.

The form can also be completed online at www.flvc.org. Transient student forms completed on the Florida Virtual Campus site are automatically referred to your advisor and to the Office of the University Registrar within three to five business days.
