Daejin Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in Design, Construction & Planning program with a concentration in interior design at the University of Florida. His minor in Research and Evaluation Methodology (REM) focuses on quantitative methods and analysis. He also is completing a graduate certificate in gerontology. His current research interests include healthcare environments for older adults as well as pedagogical applications of design thinking and creativity. As a teaching assistant, he has been involved in the development and assessment of the Innovation Academy Creativity-in-Context course and also has taught What is the Good Life? He has been successful in refereed publishing and presentations nationally and internationally. Notably he received a outstanding international student award and he was the co-recipient of the 1st place student research poster award at the EDRA 44 conference.
