Diane “DP” Porter-Roberts, Ph.D.


Dr. Porter-Roberts has taught the Creativity in Context and Creativity in Action courses within Innovation Academy since 2014. Her faculty appointment is in the UF College of Education as the coordinator for the Student Personnel in Higher Education Master’s program. Dr. Porter-Roberts brings over 25 years of housing and student affairs experience into the classroom. Her graduate courses include Student Development Theory, Student Learning Outcomes Assessment, a Capstone Seminar, as well as a course in group supervision to provide oversight to practicum and internship experiences. Areas of research that interest Dr. Porter-Roberts include competencies of housing professionals, graduate student transition, responsibilities and training of student organization advisers, student affairs in community colleges, and the power of humor and creativity in our lives.
