What is the one innovation you can’t live without?

“One innovation in my life that I could not live without would be the various ways we communicate in the modern world of social media. Social media is a very important tool to me because it creates opportunities for me to expand my professional network! Social media allows me to brand myself in a way I can’t with other ventures! This innovation in the modern world is used as a platform for millions of issues and events happening in the world, allowing its value to soar.”

It is 2 p.m. Saturday. Where are you, and what are you doing?

“On Saturdays, I’m usually with my best friend Stefan Chomiak getting breakfast, yes breakfast because we wake up late. In other cases, I’m am probably at the gym working on my health and fitness goals for spring break 2018, as spring break 2017 did not work out unfortunately!”

What are your goals at UF?

“My Ultimate goal at the University of Florida is to create opportunities for my incoming career! I not only want to create opportunities relative to my professional life but also to expand in my network of friendships, spiritual growth, and career resources. I want to be a testament to myself and other individuals showing them that no matter what situation or circumstance you come from or go through, there is always light at the end of the tunnel!”

What innovative projects are you currently working on or want to work on?

I participated in Summer B 2016 catalyst competition last year! My team was bestowed “The Power of Design” award. Our project was to simply use curriculum to educate our youth of today through course work in their education and develop a greater awareness of the issue at hand: food waste. Instead of creating an expensive and complicated invention, we also relied on the power of ethics and morality through social media to promote an “awakened” sustainable society. My team and I are now currently in the process of working with the Agricultural College here at UF to help better implement and mold our idea in the right direction.

Why did you choose to attend UF IA? How has it enhanced your college experience so far?

“I choose IA because I love being unique. I understood the greater outcome in that it would professionally propel my career! My initial decision of choosing IA was not a comfortable one because I was not sure of what it would bring. I am proud to announce that IA has been so rewarding and fruitful to me in my overall life! It has not only broadened my network but it has also expanded my family.”

What is one piece of advice you would give to incoming IA freshmen?

“One piece of advice I would give is to make sure you present yourself friendly and stay out of your dorm and socialize. School should always be top priority, but after school follow those steps I listed above. You will be surprised at the opportunities created by just appearing approachable!”

How do you plan to spend your fall semester(s)?

“This coming Fall semester, I plan on staying in Ganiesville and catching up on classes while finding a local internship. Next fall, I will be exploring study abroad opportunities while also taking classes!”

How have you contributed positively to the Gainesville community?

“One of my most rewarding contributions to the beautiful city of Gainesville would be through Project Makeover. The most recent objective for Project Makeover has been renovating local low income schools and restoring the initial beauty there once was.”
