What is the one innovation you can’t live without?

“Phone. This summer I am not using social media and it made me realize how much time I spend on my phone on different social media apps. Even without social media I still always have my phone on me.”

It is 2 p.m. Saturday. Where are you, and what are you doing?

“I love doing outside activities. Here in Gainesville on at Saturday at 2p.m, I can be found hanging out by the pool or doing water activities at Lake Wauburg. “

What are your goals at UF?

“My goals at UF is to make the most out of my four years. I want to succeed academically while still having fun and exploring the campus.”

What innovative projects are you currently working on or want to work on?

“A new innovative project I am working on is my blog. I am new to the blogging world but I have found blogging to be a great outlet and opportunity to express myself.”

Why did you choose to attend IA? How has it enhanced your college experience so far?

“I chose IA because of the opportunities it held. While filling out my application, IA stuck out to me. It was nothing I had ever heard of before and turned out to be more than I ever could have imagined. IA has given me so many friendships and learning opportunities. I have grown throughout college and a big force behind that is the Innovation Academy.”

What are you involved in here on campus? (Clubs, organizations, hobbies, interests)

“Here on campus I am a panhellenic counselor, in a sorority, member of Golden Key Honor Society and I work at 3 Natives.”

What is one piece of advice you would give to incoming IA freshmen?

“To make the most of this amazing opportunity. I have met so many great people in IA who have helped me grow over the past two years. IA can open so many doors for you, you just have to let it.”

How do you plan to spend your fall semester(s)?

“I plan on spending my fall semester doing an internship and taking a few online classes.”

How have you contributed positively to the Gainesville community?

“I have contributed to the Gainesville community through Dance Marathon. UF Health plays a big role in Dance Marathon. I think it is amazing that so many students come together to do something so fun like dance while helping the community at the same time.”
