IA Alumni – Where Are They Now? Featuring Abbigail Danielson
By Maja Hiller
From the Florida Gators to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Abbigail Danielson has carried her football spirit, creativity, and innovative mindset beyond graduation.

Currently working as an Account Associate for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Danielson manages season pass holder accounts and ensures their experience is the best it can be. “I love connecting with my clients and bringing new innovative ideas into tailoring the experience for the client,” she said. “I am passionate about contributing in meaningful ways and continuing to learn from the talented people around me.”
Danielson began her career with the Buccaneers while she was still in high school, working part-time as a Guest and Member Relations Gameday Staffer. She knew she wanted to continue her role when she entered the University of Florida, and the Innovation Academy’s unique schedule made it possible. The program’s open fall schedule allowed her to commute between Gainesville and Tampa and attend every home game while still staying on track academically.
“I absolutely loved being in classes with other students that were not necessarily majoring in the same thing as me. It made for a melting pot of great ideas and collaboration,” Danielson shared, pointing out the interdisciplinary nature of the Innovation Academy. Other highlights of her time at IA include coming up with innovative prototypes and working with Arduino Kits.
With her goal-oriented and relentlessly driven mindset, Danielson developed strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills that continue to shape her journey as she works to enhance the fan experience for the Buccaneers. “IA taught me that there is always more than one way to solve a problem. It is important to think outside of the box and be creative on how to solve issues,” she explained. “I have made it a priority to stay curious and proactive in everything I do. I look for ways to make things more efficient or engaging.”
As she continues to grow professionally, Danielson reflects on her time as a student, emphasizing the importance of commitment and long-term vision. “Sometimes growth means making short-term sacrifices for long-term goals. There were moments in college when I had to prioritize opportunities that aligned with my career dreams over social plans or free time, but those decisions taught me the value of commitment and patience. My advice is to trust that the hard work you’re putting in now will pay off and stay focused.”
Danielson’s journey demonstrates how, with the right mindset and dedication, it is possible to turn passion into impact and dreams into reality.
