Academic Advisor III

Amy  Freeman serves as both academic advisor and faculty member for the Innovation Academy and is an artist and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in higher education: teaching, curriculum development, and administration across multiple institutions, including the University of Florida. She holds an MFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and a BA from the University of Wyoming. Her creative practice centers on painting, drawing, and sustainable mixed‑media that deconstructs and up‑cycles past and present works to forge fresh narratives about cultural gender limitations and restrictions. Amy’s artwork has been exhibited nationwide and is held in private and public collections worldwide. She champions active learning both inside and outside the classroom, encouraging students to explore and engage with the world, embrace travel, and nurture their innate curiosity.
